The third thing: screenr-ing

I had watched YouTube and eHow videos that made use of this and wondered how they did it. How cool to actually know. This is a very rough first draft of a video, and if I had actually used it in class--or made a better one and used it in class--it would have saved me a whole lot of time explaining and re-explaining.

Anyway, here's the URL for the video I created: http://screenr.com/eF88 .

The second thing: avataring

I've been looking at some of my coworkers' cartoon creations of themselves with env--no, actually with thoughts of "Wow, they have a lot of free time to waste!" However, for the forty-seventh time in my short life, I was wrong; the process was actually quite quick (give it up for alliteration). I opted to use the DoppelMe website because I like signing up for websites as much as I like the movie Adventureland. (Hint: I had to be slapped to remain coherent for the last hour and fifty-two minutes of that flick). Since DoppelMe allowed me to create an avatar without creating an account, I meandered there and made this dapper fellow.

I will call him Dupuy.

The first thing: blogging

I feel adequately comfortable with technology. There's a veritable cornucopia of technological implements at our disposal, so I have yet to discover the vast majority of them. I hope, as we embark on this journey of technological tools, to have my world opened to new and highly exciting things! I endeavor to use this upcoming horn of plenty of computer-related knowledge to assist my students in their learning attempts.
